Meet Dave!
My name is Dave Treen; I am a Licenced In-Car Driving Instructor through the Canadian Pro Drivers program approved by the MTO.
A little about me
Hello There!
I’ve spent my life in Temiskaming Shores and have over 40 years of driving experience. I started my career in 1988 with a Civil Engineering Technology degree and worked for the former Town of Haileybury. I took early retirement in May 2020 from the City of Temiskaming Shores after 32 years of service.
My volunteer work as a Coach, Trainer and/or Manager in Minor sports (Hockey, Baseball, Soccer) as well as working with youth through the Temiskaming Pentecostal Church has motivated me to become a Driving Instructor and open a Driving School.
This is an opportunity to continue to see youth gain confidence, mature and succeed in a very important area, the privilege of driving a vehicle.

There are a lot of adults that have not yet gotten their driver’s licence.
Anyone with a G1 or G2 Driver’s Licence is defined as a Novice Driver regardless of age. Registering for the Beginner Driver Education (BDE) course is not strictly for young drivers.
At Dave’s we also provide private driving lessons if you just need some upgrading prior to taking a G1 or G2 exit road test. Contact us for further information or to book a private driving lesson.
